    BSCI stands for Business Social Compliance Initiative. It is an audit that scans a company to ensure that the company is socially compliant. 1) No Child labour 2) Fair wage and safe working conditions. 3) Fair trading practices. 4) Supply chain mapping and more. Popular Styles has been rated the highest grade of 'A' by Amfori BSCI during the last audit.
  • Are animals killed for the leather used? Is the leather sourced ethically?
    Animals are not killed for the leather but rather for the meat industry. The animal hide is a byproduct that gets a new life and a purpose by being made into leather. We map our supply chain and only source our leathers from suppliers that can prove ethical sourcing.
  • Is leather polluting and bad for the environment?
    Cheap quality leather can be very harmful for the environment but at Popular Styles, we only use high quality processing methods and minimum chemicals in our leather to ensure minimum stress on the environment. We promote the use of Chrome-Free leather as much as possible to our prestigious clients. We also have gold rated LWG certified tannery partners.
