Our steps towards becoming sustainable

Over the years, we have seen drastic changes to the environment and with the global temperature and sea level rising at an alarming rate, we need to start thinking about meeting the demands of our population in a sustainable manner.

Since we manufacture products for a number of brands that are eventually sold across the World, we understand that it is us that can make the difference in the entire lifecycle of our products.

Over the years, we have built a supply chain that is transparent in terms of clean and green production, we have adopted the latest and most efficient technologies and at the same time improved and improvised our methods of production, packaging and shipping to make the whole system less stressful on our environment.
How are we making a difference?
Gold-Rated Leather
We have LWG certified Gold-Rated tanneries that supply us our leather.
The LWG is an independent group of tanneries and footwear brands that has established a protocol to assess the environmental performance of tanneries, and to promote sustainable and appropriate environmental practices. Click here to know more about LWG leather.
Leather free of harmful chemicals
We work in a synergy with our tannery partners to develop leather without using harmful chemicals. Chrome in leather is toxic for our environment and can drastically contaminate waterbodies if not disposed correctly. Hence we at Popular Styles promote chrome-free leather as much as possible.

Going all LED
Every single electrical light source at our factory is an LED type. Just the conversion to LEDs from the traditional type of light will save about 750 kilograms of CO2 every year.

A team effort
The employees of Popular Styles understand the importance of being sustainable and contribute by doing their part to minimise pollution and wastage. Our team formed carpooling routes that helps reduce air pollution by 1/4. Items like old news paper and other materials are reused as dust bags.

A continuous habit
We believe in the saying that change is the only constant and hence we work continuously to make our infrastructure, sourcing of materials, choice of materials and disposal of waste better with the times.
